My name is Sara Koskinen. I grew up in Ostrobothnia and currently live in Vaasa, Finland.

Since 2016, I have been working with printmaking, with a special interest in intaglio techniques such as etching and aquatint on copper plates. These methods allow me to explore rich colours, textures, and fine details. I print all my works by hand in limited editions on high-quality printmaking paper.

​My artistic inspiration comes from the wildness of nature, storytelling, folklore, and illustrated narratives. Lately, I have been particularly drawn to folktales and legends from the Swedish parts of Finland, exploring how my own background and childhood landscape influence my visual language.

I am a member of Vaasa Printmakers.
